Time for another Friday Check In.

Sometimes people put a lot of focus on each day they experience, much the way people who are trying to eat better sometimes focus on how many calories they had that particular day - and if the answer isn’t what they hoped for, in both cases, it can depress them and make them lose motivation. I’m going to suggest that if you are prone to assessing each day in terms of how well it went, or how well you did at something like calorie counting or quitting smoking or whatever else you might be trying to change, you might want to broaden your focus a bit. Instead of looking at each day through a microscope, try pulling back a bit and looking at the week instead, and see if that changes your perspective.
